Those Rip Curl bombs seem nice. I've got a Quik Cell which is holding up after two years, but the chest panel is starting to peel a bit.

I think they do help if you have one. But I can't always find the pads I like that have them. If they do, it's a pretty gay design or the textured pattern isn't to my liking. But since not all designs come with them, you don't notice too much when it's not there.

Of course it's a choice and to everyone's discretion. But in my opinion, just as others have indicated, if your ability doesn't warrant shedding a leggie, then don't. In most cases now every spot is usually fairly crowded, so why take the risk. In the end, people just have to use their common sense....

Definitely fake. The post production on the spot is pretty shotty. I think they could've done a better job. Interesting idea though.

Vada, I picked up an S-Core 6'3" Webber Taj Model last September and have been very happy with it. It isn't quite as buoyant as I thought it would be, but it is very tough. LB, thanks for the feedback. I've seen the H2's and often wondered how the performance was. Seems like they'd be worth looking into.
