Read it when it came out (about 9 years ago?) so don't recall all the detail. My general impression was that he's certainly lived a full and interesting life by taking full advantage of the opportunities (personal and professional) that surfing has provided. Actually felt a bit for him in places whe...

If anything, this thread has shown how much of a minefield choosing a kids name is Too right :D Having brought two boys into this world in just over a year I can vouch for that. Arguing with your partner for ages over names isn't much fun either (bit like trying to sort out the seating plan at your...

A shorter leg rope is on my list Not sure about that timax, a while back I put my 7'6'' legrope on my 9'4'' mal for a while (economising) and kept getting hit by the board after a wipeout (was then a common occurence unfortunately). I reckon it should be at lea...

Back in my outbound call centre days I had to ask to speak to a Mr Ronald McDonald. The worst part was I had to wait a few moments before speaking, knowing full well that about a dozen co-workers would hear me say it, and I just knew I was gonna bust out laughing. Sure enough I and my teammates lost...

As good a place as any for a 1st post!
Actually, been a daily visitor to the site since '99 and regular forum viewer since day one - just never really felt the need to add my 2 cents. Always been a good read, lots of laughs and though-provoking at times too.
