When it gets larger there's really no way out of copping a bit of a flogging when duckdiving, you'll always get thrashed around a bit. When duckdiving in bigger stuff just think of it as damage control rather than conflict avoidance

Nice, I like checking out these kind of shots because a) you get to see what the area actually looks like (I still couldn't tell you what the beach at pipe/backdoor etc look like from the water) and b) it makes ya appreciate the good surf shots
