It is well known that Kobi is a charger. He is also an excellent bloke. He runs surf camps for the groms in Bronte and keeps them on a tight leash. He has the respect and trust of all of the groms parents as well.,

Bronte reef. Smokin. best of all, the local groms were taking off way inside, whilst the bankers and the ad agency wankers from Bondi sat outside them grumbling like stupid old men.

waiting for my bus this morning i saw tom whittaker running down to tama like a grommet with a big smile on his face. he is a great bloke, always seems to take time to help the groms at bronte when he is around. is that the norm. with the other WCT guys when they are back?

The Crawford report on sports funding made reference to surfing as being one of the "iconic" Australian sports. This, despite not one of the peak surfing bodies in Australia having made a submission to the inquiry (it looks like every other activity in Australia deluged it). Surely something useful ...

Hearty congratulations to Barton Lynch for his efforts in organising the Blast off at Palm Beach in Sydney. 200 kids under 14, strong (but not unhealthy) competition, good tips from the judges and lots of other activities. A perfect entree into competitive surfing for young'uns.
