Ah; the duelling banjo's eh! Reminds me of my days in the bayou. Yeah going pretty crazy with the lack of any real swell. Drove down south last Thur/Fri and got some fun little ones too. I'd rather fcuk than die in Sydney :!: :?:

I don't have a share portfolio or anything but I do have a house/mortgage in NZ. Definately been finding it harder lately and did'nt help that my employer axed my double-time weekend shift. Was partly due to company restructuring but also blatant cost-cutting due to the current financial climate. Ab...

Had a board stolen from a mates car down in Gisborne, NZ. We were surfing the Island which is a good 15 min walk/paddle from the carpark. Had a fun surf then the mood changed when we got back. Side window of the Mini had been smashed. My second board was gone as well as our wallets, clothes and shoe...

Surfing good waves alone and being free to belt out your fav tunes in all their glory. This'll probably appear in the 'worst sound in the surf' forum too from the other bloke that paddled out half-way thru a James Brown classic :!:

Re: WHAT'S THE WORST NOISE IN THE SURF

[quote="TrevG"] 2/ (sounding old here, I know). Can't stand it when a bunch of 10 y/o boys turn up and paddle around the line up shouting to one another with a whole heap of shit, raving about every wave and bragging about how good they are. Share the stoke quietly, guys. Definately agree with this ...

I love the sound of the sea birds going out to feed in the still morning air. The gurgling, sucky noise in a nice wide pit ain't bad either :)

Had my first surf in springy a couple of weeks ago. Timed it with a freshly shaved head so was pretty chilly. Kinda fun with a fish in boardies/springy with no leggy with the waves we've been having( or at least not having)! Makes the 1-2ft monotony seem more bearable. Roll on 20+ degree water temps...

Speaking of strong masculine woman; you're not J Della Bosca are ya? Old Belinda threatening to soccer chop ya? Time to put the pants on son. The last bombing @ Jimbaran was when? 3-4 years ago FFS. You've got more chance of being hit by a bus here in Oz than being involved in a terrorism related in...

I finish work @ 6am so the early works out well for me. Surf @ sparrows fart on weekends to get a few in before the hordes descend. Don't work Sunday nights so surf mid-morning on Mondays. Awesome timeslot as it's normally really quiet. Love the early morning though. Sharing waves with the regular m...

A mate of mine Gibbo came out with the classic oneliner re: Serena Williams;" I'd go down on her after a tough 5 setter". Had half the workplace in stitches and the other half dry-retching :) Used to have fairly regular dunga sessions back in NZ. The beach I grew up at had a real gradual incline so ...

Luckily I've never dinged a mates board while borrowing it. A mate back home snapped another mates board years ago and he bought a newy straight away that afternoon. Would think that'd be the thing to do--- damage= fix it; snappage= newy.

I feel sorry for the old couple that took a wrong turn onto the firing range whilst on their Sunday drive KK. Pics of crowded lineup are indicative of a weekend in Sydney with a small south swell. Bondi would've looked similar. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

I reckon he made the right choice getting out of there. If he was going to jump the step he'd want to be going over it right as the shot was taken. If he would've gone he'd be looking at top to bottom freefall then Davey Jone's locker. Would be good to see some shots of Paul Morgan from that sesh. L...
