Re: Liddle Hulls

What have you ordered mate? Death machine???? The model’s called a Bojorquez - a stretched out and less extreme Death Machine - less of an S deck and not such Bladey Rails. Told Mike Saggus from Surf Empire where I normally surf and he had a chat to Kirk Putnam about it, and that was the recommenda...

Re: Liddle Hulls

14 years on, and Liddle Surfboards have a rep in Oz - Mike Saggus from Surf Empire. I've got an order in for a Liddle Bojorquez. I've ridden a Ryan Lovelace V-bowls variant, a gato heroi space pig and now it's a chance to ride as close to the real thing. Can't wait.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

There’s some decent waves in Wales and a proper surf culture. But if ya mate couldn’t find a decent wave in Sydney for 12 months then take what he says with a pinch of salt, or use it to wind up some Realsurfers ;). Re: Midlengths

Maurice cole has a midlength. Red dingo. Looks sweet. So many good ones https://youtu.be/ZPyBHCSFgXg I like. A hi performance mini mal (hello Steve :)), which makes it a lot more versatile for a range of conditions than some flattened out hipster mid length. I've ridden a few hulls and had a vbowls...

Re: Midlengths

We didn’t get along - it needed a better quality wave than the majority of conditions I go out in. It’s a really fine tuned board that I never came close to getting dialled.

The singing bit is a generalisation, but get yourself along to an international rugby match in Cardiff and you’ll hear it and feel it.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Well, we had an interesting meeting at the airport with one of the Free West Papua guys. He travelled around, raising awareness and had spent some time in Byron. He flew into Vanimo, met up with a colleague and they were about to drive a few hours north and he was then going to walk 5 days through t...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I’m thinking of going to Vanimo resort in png. Anyone been? Waves look alright and culture looks interesting. And they claim not crowded https://www.vanimosurflodge.com/gallery/?gallery=0Byby-VRhYOwyWWdJSUJGMUlsWDA Yup, I went there Feb last year. Disclaimer, I know a couple of the owners, I haven'...

Re: Best softboard to use to teach kids ???

I tried a mates 7'0 CMP softboard at the point a couple of months back. Thick as, but loads of fun. Just over 200 $$, with a slick bottom. Went well. Seen Ace Buchan around on those Catch Boards too - of course he made it look the goods.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

There was another incident at Avoca this afternoon - young doctor got bit on the shoulder - reported as a minor incident. Happened off the lagoon - not sure if it’s open at the moment, Terrigal lagoon is open. A 3m white was spotted around the area afterward, but I doubt it was the same animal.

It's amazing how far surgery has come in such a short time. One of my work colleagues had some keyhole heart surgery done, and was back at work within the week!

Good news for you Beery

Thanks Rustt. If it doesn't disappear within a couple of weeks I'll go see a doc or physio and take it from there.
