Re: Inguinal hernia, anyone had surgery?

It's amazing how far surgery has come in such a short time. One of my work colleagues had some keyhole heart surgery done, and was back at work within the week!

Good news for you Beery

Re: Shoulder tear?

Thanks Rustt. If it doesn't disappear within a couple of weeks I'll go see a doc or physio and take it from there.

Shoulder tear?

Paddling back out on a small day, and felt my shoulder kind of give. The symptom appears in the pull of the stroke and goes into the pectoral muscle. Essentially I'm unable to weight bear. Extending the arm for the catch is no issue. I gave it 2 days rest, after I could do my usual duties and not no...

Re: Ebay Bargains thread

I had a full carbon 8' DVS all rounder. Insanely good board, a true one board quiver. I should never have sold it 😩

Re: Geoff McCoy Surfboards Collectors Corner

Gave the zots a good try in decent bali surf, twice a day for a week. One good 2' wave at temples, otherwise the worst boards ive ever ridden. Once they were converted to quads they instantly became candidates for the best boards ive ridden. Good for 1'-6', possibly to 8' (I'll swap between the 7' ...

They're collaborating on some interesting boards. One of the first collab boards was Cheynes Bells board - originally shaped by Terry Fitz, with the real hull front end.

Re: Geoff McCoy Surfboards Collectors Corner

No comment on the American saga. When he's in this mode he just isn't capable of putting it in such a reasonable manner surffoils . He's antagonistic, alienating and opinionated - somewhat charismatic....some folks lap it up. He's definitely a character! He does leave a gap in the market though when...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I just got an Adrenalin 1.5mm steamer for just north of Sydney. Water is still warm but the wind chill was up over the long weekend. Worked well, but gee, wanted to keep active - was starting to feel it a little waiting at the point at the break of dawn.

Adriano's style is much more pleasing to the eye now than when he won the title. He laid some nice rail in that 4th round heat.

Re: Kettlebells

I'm looking for a secondhand 12 and 16 kg kettlebell. I've seen someone do a kettlebell workout and it was impressive - there was a focus on maintaining form, and flow - definitely a functional movement.

What size KB are you starting with Steve ? How do you find it?

Re: 8' Outerislands supermal

who was the lucky recipient? Morgan got the outer. I'd love abonzer egg but it'd be the same story. This would just sit on the racks at the moment I've taken it out a few times over the past couple of weeks. Got it in mostly drop and go which I really enjoyed. Paddled in easy and held in great. The...
