felt pretty soulful as I caught fun waves up the coast in warm water with my son.

Can anyone explain why in such critical waves you always see tonnes of drop ins?

That's just awesome. I reckon its all the better because he lands and keeps riding the wave. Too often an air is just the trick you throw at the end and there is no continuation.

I find the positioning of the board causes this enjoyable roadtrip soundtrack.

Try moving the board back a bit on the racks and adjusting the width of the racks.
