Re: Jordy Smith's Rodeo Flip

That's just awesome. I reckon its all the better because he lands and keeps riding the wave. Too often an air is just the trick you throw at the end and there is no continuation.

Re: Who free-balls under their wetty?

It concerns me that you want to know.

I'm more than happy being blissfully unaware what my fellow surfers are wearing under their wetties.

Unless they're really cute.

Re: spiral fracture, right fibula

Bad luck mate. I've been out for four weeks with a broken collarbone and a broken finger. I've missed an awesome autumn swell and it's not fun.

Anyway.....Can you get a waterproof cast and swim to keep up the fitness?

I read Dirt Music by Winton and The Contest by Reilly on my last holiday. Winton writes beautifully but his stories can be frustrating (SMN, if you found the ending of Dirt Music bad DO NOT read The Riders). Reilly tells a rollicking good yarn, but his writing is crap. Looking forward to reading Bre...

I love an afternoon surf.

Great in winter when the sun is warm and there's no wind.

Even better when you get a hot summer's day with no nor'easter........

This is just plain wrong!!!!! "Todd Juneau, a real estate consultant in San Diego and a longtime surfer, trolls for business in local lineups. “I’ll sit in the water and listen to conversations, and if someone says something about real estate, I’ll find a way to interject,” he said. “And it pays off...

I find the positioning of the board causes this enjoyable roadtrip soundtrack.

Try moving the board back a bit on the racks and adjusting the width of the racks.

The other option is to adjust your speed so the thump thump is in time with the doof doof.

Back to surfing Freshie cause the family like it on a Sunday morning and my 10 year old is learning. The learners give you funny looks as you glide along the wave as if to say "Why aren't you going straight so I can ride it too?" Cactus, I know this discussion has been had before but I've got to dis...

Only been doing the mountain bike thing for the past five months or so and jazzed to be able to get up most of the hills in my suburb. However, I'm wondering if it's doing my surfing all that good. Seems like my leg muscles are pretty good at pushing down, but when it comes to pushing up (pop up) t...
