Maybe - I haven't seen the NBN specs. In any case, that's years away - and technology will progress in leaps and bounds by this time. So the streaming concerns of today will probably be replaced by fresh technological hurdles.

BTW, we'd be able to stream much higher quality surfcam vision if Telstra, Optus and AAPT provided wholesale Annex M infrastructure. Looks that's unlikely to ever happen though (as it'd probably cannibalise their higher priced business products).

Agreed alakaboo - but it's somewhat irrelevant if the user doesn't actually receive what's being advertised. They could have a network of Red Epic 617 cameras shooting 120fps at 261 megapixels, but if the consumer ends up watching a 640 x 480 pixel stream at 300Kbps, then it's definitely not HD - no...
