Re: The Tulla Tub

Any boogers? There was a couple when I was there. Didn't look like they were having anywhere near as good a time as the surfers I don't think the wave has enough power in it for a boog to do their usual flapping and spinning comedy routine - not that I would know though, I haven't ridden a lid sinc...

Everything can be hired there mate, you can literally just turn up at the door. If you ever consider going let me know, I just need another excuse to give it another crack!

Re: The Tulla Tub

Grooter sighting! I did see a guy wearing a Gath helmet. Thought to myself what kind of snowflake wears a helmet here, its not like he's got titanium plates in his head or anything. I was amazed I saw no blood when I was there, there are some folks that really caused some carnage. Thanks for ...

Re: The Tulla Tub

Did you snake grooter each set? I would have if I'd known he was there. (and what he looked like) I was wearing a Grey Gath helmet surfing an orange board for the 17:00 session mate, didn't see anyone wearing a hat out there on the left :) There was a pic of his head gash after he head butted a lon...

Re: The Tulla Tub

Okay here is my experience of UrbnSurf, I’ll probably repeat a lot of what pinny says, a lot matched my experience. The place is definitely surreal, you’re surfing in an industrial estate while planes are taking off and landing in the distance and the pool is big. Like really big. You don’t realise ...

Re: The Tulla Tub

Murphys farken Law. Got an email this morning at 05:21 that the Tub is closed due to the massive dust storm that has blown across Victoria from South Australia last night. Understandable though, my pool (fcuk I hate pools) is now a delightful milk chocolate brown and there is reddish brown pools of...

Re: The Tulla Tub

Booked a session on the Intermediate Left tomorrow. Right was all booked out but I'm not fussed, quite enjoy surfing backhand

Taking my old 7' Miller V-Skate thruster, it'll catch almost anything so I should hopefully get a few.

On another, is this the first time the words "cognitive dissonance" have been used on RS? Impressive!

Re: The Tulla Tub

A mate of mine reckons it may cost $79/hour.

I'll give it a go for the novelty but at that price, and given it is about an 80 minute drive from where I live, I'll probably measure my visits there in years.

Change the flight to a 7pm, and drop by the pool. Perhaps not a 7 degree winter afternoon in Melbourne though.

Very big this morning on the Mornington Peninsula and it is only going to build too.

Windy but the Westerly direction will be okay for Bells
