Re: September

I've always found windguru reasonably accurate.. they are predicting 6.1m @ 14 seconds from the SSE next Tuesday

Even the comment about beach monkey, no matter how much of a dickhead you think he is, was uncalled for. Pull your head in.

I live quite far away in Concord (inner west). 32kms each way, I can get to the beach in 30-35mins if I leave before about 6:00am, if I sleep in it can take 1.5 hours.

It's strange that all of my neighbours are keen surfers.

saw that too... he's got some serious balls that bloke.. attacked 3 times and still goes back for more, no way. My memory of the doco is a little faded, but I recall them saying that he pissed an average of 16 times per session, which is why the sharks were picking him off amongst the crowd of surf...

That's the least of your worries. P!ssing in your wettie attracts sharks.

I saw it on a doco the other day. That poor south african bloke who has been attacked by a shark on 3 different occasions (when there were plenty of other people in the water) was the result of it.

My theory: Aerobic people - hold their breath for ages Anaeobic people - will drown after 10 secs! I can run lightening fast. Always won the 100m races. Put me in a cross country race and I will be walking at the 300m mark (and thats only after jogging the first 300m). So that makes me very anaerobi...

Well I wear my boardies all year round, not because I want to, it's because I've just never bothered to buy a wetsuit. Ok, ok, I'm too much of a tight arse to fork out for one. I keep telling myself every year that I will buy one but I never do. :? Some days I would give anything for a wettie though...

Will there be any waves tomorrow?

Well, I am getting desperate for a surf. I have literally had no chance to surf in daylight hours for the last 17 days due to work (and living an hours+ drive away from the beach) and wont get a day off until Saturday week. Anyway, I dont start until 10am tomorrow so I figured I could sneak in a cou...

I wouldn't give it up for any amount of money, as life would be boring without surf. Seriously, 1M isn't even that much these days anyway.

South Swell for Saturday?

Well swellnet/coastalwatch aren't exactly calling for a big swell on Saturday but I just checked windguru and they're saying 2.9m @ 10 seconds which generally translates into about 6ft (I'm just going by averages from their predictions). Also with a SW wind. But Sunday looks better with W/NW'ers but...
