Re: Question for 40 somethings..
after a 7 month hiatus Im finally back in the water and very thankful I have the opportunity to do so I Had a life changing injury where I suffered muscle and nerve damage to my left leg. I largely attribute the injury to going to hard/fast with training and backing it up with over working and poor ...

Re: would u eva fly Qantas...again?
Australian pilots are in high demand elsewhere in the world. Singapore, Cathay Pacific. Etihad etc all use them. They actually earn about the same but work longer hours. I don't see how QANTAS can continue to compete with these excellent airlines who all offer cheaper fares but with pretty similar ...

Re: J Bay Pro - No Dane
There’s no doubt KS is the best there has been and the “organisation” would be foolish to underestimate just how great an ambassador he is, but I reckon he has an obligation not to the sponsors or the ASP but to his fellow competitors who have outsurfed him so far this year. We are on the verge of s...

And had the king been ratings leader I reckon he would have been in Africa from the start.
I also see his actions as disrespectful.

Re: Andy Irons Dies
Sure,I understand your point Hano, I just doubt that such a drug exists. My experience with drugs, more legal than illegal but that's another story, is not that they turn you into some superman, but that they enhance one or more parts of you, invariably to the detriment of other parts. So with your...

Re: Andy Irons Dies
I'm sure you could find drugs that make you feel bullet proof, but in surfing that doesn't translate to better performance, IMHO. There is much more to surfing than that, surely. . But to those who see ASP as the sovereign body that feeds livelihoods, where winning or just doing well will help defi...

Re: Jumping from a quad to a thruster
I really like the spontaneousness of rail to rail transition a thruster offers. I find Its easier to “ fluke” into a favourable position during a critical moment on a thruster.
But the whole drive-hold-speed-carving factor of a quad feels and looks much more appealing to me.

Re: Andy Irons Dies
My take of the flip side of this current saga is a little more oblique. Putting aside assumptions about demons and Ill ease, how much of Irons' extraordinary combination of skill, style and gobsmackingly cool surfing in often really heavy waves could be attributed to being tweaked? This might be th...

Re: Billabong Pro Rio
sportsbet now has Parko @ a very short $3- favourite for the title this year. i think they(sportsbet) know where he has been spending his down time recently
He looks more at peace with himself than he ever has, and for the first time he has undivided intent oozing out of his demeanour.

Re: Alternative fin templates & materials
as far the occy goes....it's seems well reinvented in the new julian model but with brighter colours :!: it's alllllll about the colour  The old Occy FCS appear juvenile next to his kinetic model. I believe Parko had Occy signature fins on board when he carved up Bells this year. And Occy’s ar...

Wasn’t McKenny found unconscious head down arse up in some Eastern suburb park not so long ago- seems only fitting that this type of persons be head judge for this reality master piece.

- Phil Way, my glasser and the best fin maker I know ofor have ever seen... He knows his fins and is a great craftsman. I love how the king has a genuine hate for it
I love its savaged heathy tundra and bitter chill
I love how Parko majestically tears it apart
I love you Bells.
Ps I would’ve loved you more Mick had you won.
