Re: Injuries Blog

Split my lip on a hollow beachie when my 6x66 fish smacked me in the mouth. Drove to hospital, thankfully mid winter so didn't feel much. Could almost put my toungue through the hole. Few stitches. When I shave the scar is still there.

Kicked a keel fin out of a little 5'7". More stitches

Re: princess margaret river pro

It's a money thing. I saw something about surfing in Brazil going crazy, and making the surf co's lots of money. While that's going on, rio will be part of the tour.

Actually, nick might be able to confirm how the surf industry is going in Brazil in terms of revenue.

Re: princess margaret river pro

What's the forecast like? I've stupidly been conned into a tipping comp. I was a much much better footy player than I am a surfer, and have always gone shit in footy tipping comps so fkukk knows why I joined a bloody surfing tipping comp, but anyway, I'll have a crack.

Re: SOLD 8' Outerislands supermal

8 1/2" greenough on its own. Only really tried that in small stuff but felt better. If if gotten some decent waves on it with the single fin it might still be here lol. Not sure if I mentioned it but as a quad I switched front and back fins, big at the back for some more drive which seemed to w...

Re: Snapper Quiky Pro 2017

I'm not exactly sure what you're implying Nick. Way Rob Wright explained it to me a wave detonated on him and the explosive force of the impact was enough to cause some kind of brain injury. It'll probably always be a mystery exactly what happened because O can't remember the details and no-one els...

Re: Snapper Quiky Pro 2017

The only thing reported on Owen Wright is that he wasn't well at the Rip Curl House and then was taken to hospital. Apparently it was due to a two wave hold down so says the VP of communications from Rip Curl. I recall him having some issues prior accompanied with a loss in form. Make it up. That's...

Re: Is anyone backyard shaping any more

Not enough surfing time, let alone shaping time digger. It's kind of wrong but I'm tempted by one of surfblanks machine shaped blanks. 6'0" stubbie maybe. Or just a bog standard 8'er to get me through non surfing times.

What were they, sea lice? I always wanted some, with their little castles and their happy smiling faces! It is unbelievable the stuff these huge companies convince masses of people to buy. To me they sound ridiculous but sure enough I'm guessing we'll start to see people wearing them.
