waiting to be glassed
you should have scratched, "saltman woz here, 2018" into the deck.
TOTY 2018 would've been funnier! Imagine nick having to explain to some of the legends he'd surf with the meaning of it !

Re: Epoxy boards

That said I saw an American guy get out of the water yesterday morning with a SD SciFi, the thing had just exploded. I took a close look and was stunned, the lamination was like paper, the apparent “carbon” clearly wasn’t, and the high density foam bar along the board had simply ruptured. The styro...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Guy at work just came back from cloud break. Few pros there, jjf's brother and some Hawaiians, a big wave world tour surfer and Ryan birch. According to him birch was the standout surfer, stylish soul arch bottom turns into beastly barrels. Work mate got some nice waves and was both terrified and st...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I have my 7'er being fitted with a centre fin box as we speak. A 5 fin, but I never use the fcs centre fin box, so a 10"er is going in. I will definately use side bites if I think it'll improve the board. Fluk joel Tudor ! Ps I will not say that to his face :) Try some fcs bonzer side bites, even i...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

What customer base? They're fashion companies more than anything. When's the last time you bought a pair of $100+ boardies?
Maybe they're trying to create a new market? Or different target ? One thing is for sure, KS is trying to milk surfing for as much as he possibly can

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Skip raises a dilemma: Do I buy 2nd hand ones that have a transport carbon footprint, or new ones that have both a manufacturing and travel carbon footprint? Or, do I just make some myself? https://craftysurf.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/a339d-119253a30253a25pm.jpg?w=350&h=200&crop=1 Thanks swvic, h...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

OxyContin is a brand name, Al, it's Oxycodone that is the drug. OxyContin has been in Australia for ages, at least since 2006. We often use it under the brand name Endone. There are different strengths and some are designed to prevent injection but it's basically the same stuff. We have opioid and ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

So modern day single fin fools are happy to use modern foils, modern rails and even modern bottom contours but side fins, which add a lot, are forbidden? Haha surfing is funny

I think all fears about wonky outlines will disappear when you hook it off the bottom on your backhand and belt the lip to kingdom come. But you won't be able to perform a tacky air flip rodeo stale fish so the kids won't like it :-D-:

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Very fast waves mind you. Very light board, high volume rails, flat rocker, lots of fin area, super sharp rails, lots of rail contact with the wide point forward and straight through the fish tail. I checked a few of those wasps and the short eggy xf boards of his. Those rails are ginormous, put me...
