Brilliant idea. I never seem to be able to make the Fish fry and it would be great to speak directly to shapers regarding their ideas and what you would like from a board. Pridmore: I am constantly test driving new boards from any shaper/board store willing to let me have a go. I would love to try o...

I was admiring his cutback and quad selection on other posts a few days ago. A mate and I where going to head down to the shop when he came back.

That is heavy news. Best of luck on the recovery and all the best to the family!

Hey mate, Was there last year June. We stayed at Yanuca island (surf camp) and took a boat out daily. There were a few guys from the mainland out daily but it's about a 45min to hour boat ride depending on the boat. No idea who to ask or where to check. One guy was staying with a local village on on...

Thanks Longbum.

I'm 6'0, 85kg.

Cool thanks, been looking into quads for a while, tried a few but the fin setup is so crucial. Think it's time I get one!

Hey Longbum,

Nice Quiver!

Mate your board dimensions are almost identical to mine, out by an 8th of an inch here and a 1/4 of an inch there.

If you don't mine me asking how tall are you and how much do you weigh?

Also what fins are you using on the quads?
Thanks mate!

Thanks guys. Now you got me thinking!! I think I will only be surfing once a day maybe twice on a few other days but it's also the missus holiday. Next year I'm planning Maldives and Indo, pure surf holidays. I'll check out new Cal.

Any recommended surf travel companies?

Mozambique can get Epic but not much along the coast so you will need to go prepared, but you're almost guaranteed empty surf. Transkei is another option. Great surf options between PE and Cape Town, certainly not uncrowded and you will find some empty points but you become very much apart of the fo...

Thanks butts! Yeah I'm really pissed as I was just hitting the fittest level I've ever been. Off to physio today for the shoulder! I will post an update of my recovery over the weeks. Anyone who has similar injuries can use my example as a recovery platform. Please catch waves for me as I am ...

Thanks Brenno!

Yeah I'm gonna be as careful as I can so that I can recover 100%! I reckon plenty of physio and rest over the next 16 weeks should sort me out.

Thanks for the advice mate!

Stand up all the way! I wouldn't lie down no matter how injured I am. Yeah I'm trying to be positive and be back in the water in 12 weeks but 16 weeks might be more realistic! Drugs aren't an option, but thanks for the advice.

Man typing with one hand is a bugger!

Injured - Need Advice

Hey Realsurfers, I was inland visiting the in-laws and went carve boarding like I do every time I go inland but this time I came off at high speed! I ended up dislocating my wrist, shattered my Radius (had to get a plate out in) and sub-luxed my shoulder (just short of a dislocation). I will be in a...
