Re: Surf Trip to Kerala (India) in November/December?
I've just come back from Kerala at the weekend including spending 6 days in Varkala. It is my third visit to Kerala and Varkala and it is great place for a holiday. We just backpacked and caught public transport and stayed in homestays. Not a great place for surf. Foamy described it fairly well ( th...

Re: what? what? WHAT??? i cant ear u
I had one ear drilled over 30 years ago and don't want to go through that again. I used the Pro Plugs for quite a long time but found the elastic cords a nuisance. Haved used blue tack and just recently started using ear putty which are clear silicon plugs which you shape like blue tack ( but less m...

Re: Sydney Board Rider Clubs
Funny thing, I saw Kavy in Narrabeen today. He looks like a bushranger. Bit of a waste of talent. Was a good surfer and sometime member of the Shane gang. Also wrote music reviews and satirical pieces for either Surfing World or Surf International in the early 70's. I think he worked for a while in ...

Re: Boardies guide
Here is a radical idea. What about making boardshorts out of cotton. They dont give you a rash. What is the big deal about quick dry fabrics? You wear boardshorts in the water and take them off when you get out of the water.

Re: slater is NOT world champ.....yet....
While there is no denying Kelly's talent and his 10 World Championships to date, it only reinforces my belief that the ASP judges tend to favour Kelly over other competitors, particularly when there are marginal calls. What other sport would make the mistake the ASP has done?

Re: wanted. Miller V-Skate 6'10
Radmaster, I have 2 V Skates both 6'10". One is brand new which I am taking to Bali with me next week. The other is about 4 years old and in excellent condition. The new board is a slightly refined version of the older one which is being kept as a backup. As Grant Miller is going travelling I wouldn...

Re: Shearer at the Quick Pro
Shearers reports are great stuff, reminds me of the old days of Tracks and Phil Jarratt's reports on the Stubbies. At least he has found a way to make contests sound interesting. I am all for sending him to Bells- how about he swings by Avalon and pick up Larry and they can head down the Hume with b...

Re: kneeboarders???
Steve Artis now lives in Bali. I met him out in the surf at Ulus a year or 2 back. He still shapes a few boards. He originally shaped kneeboards at Hot Buttered when they were located in Mitchell Rd Brookie

Miller surfboards
Hey Moya, I have a Miller Waterskate and it is the best board I have had. This is my first post but I have been reading the forums for quite a while and have seen a few comments slagging them off. I have been surfing continuously for 40 years and didn't want to get onto long boards, so this was a th...
