Big thank you to Ray, The Care-taker at North Curly Surf Club and Rowan, The Surfer, who rescued a 70 year old tourist in big surf off North Curly rock-pool early this this morning. His family were very grateful to have him back safely on shore…

anyone out there surfing (in any form....body board , short board, long board, sup, kneeboard ) after a hip replacement ?

i too loved the book nic....but why is it volume two?.....was there a volume one?

there are short people and tall people.....and there are stiffys and floppys....stiffys are just about unbreakable....make good second row forwards.....floppys are ...floppy .....and are good at yoga and other stretchy sports.....but if a stiffy crash tackles a floppy then the floppy will come apart...

the best way to deal with the whole surf boat thing....and we all agree they are really dinosaurs ...is to have a look at the sponsors names on the next surf boat you see and write to the sponsor and make them aware of the negative publicity they may be attracting by sponsoring these potentially dan...

have a look at the short paddle boards that are now coming to market....for example starboard now have a 8ft5 and a nine foot 8 paddle board....a number of guys are using these as long boards without the paddles...definitely can knee paddle those....available at windsurf and snow anzac parade collaroy

why haven't body board designs gone done the concave route?....is it the limitation of the basic core material?....is it a design improvement waiting to happen?...if it works on other board shapes and sizes from shortboards to longboards to paddle boards and on paipos .....then why not body boards?
