Re: Dark Pandemonium: Parko@Pipe.
Was just watching some heat analyzer as I didnt watch live and noticed Billy Kempler gave Slats the BIRD in there heat :D Right at the end when he ollie over slats after his last wave he turns arounds mid air and flips him off. When they do the slowmoe replay if ya pause its 100% visible double hand...

Re: Triple Crown of Surfing
Yea as I said a couple months ago KS will retire from full time comp for sure at the end of this year, I reckon that why he did the TC. His board looked terrible <: unless it was in a really steep smooth section. Might work at pipe ect but not sunset, kinda made him look like a gumby. He should just...

Re: places you will never surf again
I lived around the Byron/Ballina shire for quite a few years, took a horrible roll at lennox one day when its was like 2-3ft crossshore southerly with a big sweep heading north. Got dry docked paddleing out pre white wash sux out. Got rolled like 50 meters down the point in 1 ft of water. So painful...

Re: Santa
Pretty bog ugly wave, nothing really world class about it. Maybe if it was solid 6ft, of course there trying to tell us its 4-7ft. WTH they call 2-3ft 4-7ft....stupid cally scale must be in affect.

Yea for me the last wave was somewhere between a 6.20 and a 6.80. I mean by there standards any average smuck could be a pro, pull in to a crumbley head dip then do 2-3 of the biggest saftey turns you'll ever see. Heck by that call I saw numerous 10's go down at my local yesterday. http://i5.photobu...

Re: Fiji 2012
Slats is still the master of backhand barrels. Just got love the lines he draws, I mean u got appreciate the artistry of those waves and use your easel accordingly. Just fkn beautiful man. To be honest I would of scored medina's cheese whizs under 5.0 at resturants. Its an insult to the wave, he did...

Just incase anyone doesnt know toadays webcast is on loop, fast forward to around the 3hr 45min mark to see when it starts turning on. I think the swell might die quicker than they expect, be back to 6ft pretty quick.

Re: Fiji 2012
Right up there with the chopes webcast session, waves probably more perfect but less intense obviously. Theres something about watching it live that gets the adrelian rushing more than watching a replay later. Like when longy took that drop to win the Eddie in your head your thinking he cant make it...

Romano just got 20 points on one wave, so deep halfway through he was gone for all money, foam ball push him super high and just got past it. Barrel of the day so far, on one of the sets of the day too.

Re: The 6 star Kangaroo Island Pro... good... or bad?
Never been there myself, have thought about checking the place out but all the seals freak me out I know there some decent waves hopefully its heavy at least.
They should of held it at Yorkes, the place is far from secret anyway its pretty crowed in summer.
