Been a while since i been on these boards, life just got hectic for a while i guess you could say. Had a bit of time off surfing too which sucks. Went back out on the weekend past and had a great time in small conditions just messing around. I just bought a 7s superfish 6'3 yesterday off a mate's ma...

hehehe what a funny thread! Every time before i go surfing i get a bit anxious, feel a bit weird in the stomach but nothing major and i go straight out always. I usually wake up in the morning and take a shit before leaving the house to go for a surf, it sux feeling bloated for any reason when you a...

I never have any trouble catching waves and i think the reason for this is i put everything everyone has said in this post into action. Position yourself well - dont be too far out the back trying to get on to a wave that is nowhere near breaking. Paddle with efficient and long strokes - short fast ...

looks good macca.

Not too yellow aswell!

I think youll find with most boards youll have the golf ball dents everywhere, you just have to take the wax off to see them! My new board probably is already getting them :/

Throw a tail pad on it, wax it up and go and have some fun.

i agree with loco. Its all about mindstate and how you feel at the time for me. I also beleive its how the waves are breaking and how crowded the beach is too. I would rather surf a beach with 2 foot clean surf with noone around then go out into 4- 6 foot where the take off spot is cluttered with ab...

I like my trucks tight. The reason boards dont turn that well is either the trucks are done up tight or they are cheap peices of sh*t with the rubbers pretty much being plastic with no flex. You get what you pay for, get decent trucks and wear them in. I ride my trucks tight because when you do tric...

Just like the weather report on the news, you cant trust a surf report.

So many times it is supposed to be pumping, you get out there and there is 1 foot slop.

I hope there is something rideable out there on the weekend!

2 weeks off on holidays too! Want to surf as much as possible.

Depends on the situation. If its getting a bit full out there sometimes you have to kick your legs like there is no tommorrow just to get on the wave. Sometimes you just have to turn around and you are in the perfect position. If you want to avoid taking drops all the time from late take offs you sh...

Good posts guys. I agree never bail your board unless you have to. I hold on at all costs! I would hate to cause someone else an injury from my own actions. I always try and paddle out between sets, whenever i go out to the beach i wait and watch it for a while, feel the moment and get an idea on ho...

Duckdiving and wave size.

Ok we have already had a discussion about how people duckdive for eg. With their knee or foot. Now for the question - Who here has trouble sometimes getting out the back when the waves get a little bigger and there is no apparent channel to get out. I find for anything over 4 foot can be a challenge...

A semi gun and gun is just a shortboard made for bigger surf. It has nothing to do with size, because everyones height and weight varies, they will get a board that will perform the best for them to accomodate their weight and height. I ride a 6'4 x 18 x 2 3/8 Im 6 foot and weigh about 84kg's. This ...
