Re: Where did you surf today ?

Now, now. I got a few. No complaints. I bailed after it got that crowded. Watched a good Barney in the water though. That was funny given the conditions.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Now we can pay out Coastalwatch but a simple click on the live footage should end discussion. Although it's fuller now than it was.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Looking good. Watched that Gravy Guy's video about surfing in New Jersey. Got to admire his positive attitude.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Did the coastal walk over to Bondi this morning and had brunch, very pleasant it was too but whenever I do this with my wife the waves always seem to be pumping. Fccck me Beanpole that bank in the south end - glorious 2-3ft right handers on the mid tide.. absolute glass conditions.. only about 8 bl...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I was actually refering to the kilojoules input rather than the general surf forecasts. I wrote recently about looking at the synoptic charts after seeing the weather on the abc and deciding to bolt up the coast. The actual description on magic seaweed matched the conditions accurately but their rat...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I find it immediately understandable whereas swell period, etc, blah, blah has never really registered. Great if it does for someone though. Realistically it doesn't make as much sense in sheltered coastlines with variable sand banks as in a place like Indo or the Pacific Island with large uninterru...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Well according to that cranked website Bondi is currently breaking at 33kj Looked good for a swim. Only the desperates would paddle out today. Last Monday was Fcuking great though. It was so consistent for a while I let about five excellent waves go with no takers to wait for the extra perfect one....

67 lites v 75 litres. Does it matter? Maybe it does.
Well, as I was pointing out, if a 7'6" surfboard has the same volume as a 9' surfboard it's going to be plenty fat. Some boards, even mals, are deceptively fat or thin.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

So....kjs mean the wave has more mass?
I know kjs are a measure of energy.
Therefore it has more power and will have a longer interval between waves.

I thought Beanpole used litres to keep an eye on his daily scotch intake?
Just a glass :-D-:
Litres are still useful over 6'6" maybe not so much with a mal.
My 7'6" foamy is 67 litres or something. Floats like a 9fter.
If you look at Walden Mini Magiks they have a similar volume.
Crazy fat.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Little and crowded today. Nice day though. Shoulders still sore from paddling.
