Re: Where did you surf today ?

Good waves and heavy crowds. Managed to snare a couple of ones under the guard plus one good left on the last set. All up about as much as could be xpected. Would have been a great surf with a few guys. Rather than a few guys on each wave. Paddled out to the sound of this "local" yelling a...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Work......who invented that for something to do?
Aren't we supposed to be living a freewheeling work free existence by now?

Ironically sports presenters tend to think surfers are all gay.

Re: Midlengths

My fatboy had a good glass job. Glassed at MONA Vale.
The Nat Young board was a specific backhand board with boxy rails, big concave and a really tuned flex fin. I don't think Nat shaped that many himself.

Re: Midlengths

Rabbidge used to be a contract/ghost shaper wasn't he?
I had a Nat Young square tail that had really similar rails.
That's original Nat.

Welcome to my world....however lately the little bank just keeps on giving. Even today....it looked like absolute crap but produced an hour of zippy little shooters.

Re: Midlengths

Well you find out don't you. I was saying to some guy out in the surf at Angourie about how good the glass job was on my Fat Bullet. He said " How would you know?"....in a bit of a know it all way. Well, once you've had it for a while it becomes obvious, dickhead. He didn't surf that well ...

Re: Midlengths

If you're surfing intermittently then it'll take ages to get used to it. Especially if you're on different boards in the mean time. I hear that "loaded dome" takes some getting used to. I'd flick the nugget and give grant a call. Or if you don't want to wait. Rabbage does a fat boy model ...

There are a few big reef breaks in the eastern suburbs for Loofy to try it out on if he's keen.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Funny when you know as soon as you snare a wave everyone's going to start working out where to go.

Went down and snared three dribblers that went for ages. Thought I'd cut my loses after that. Nice afternoon.

Re: Midlengths

Yeah, read that description of the flo egg. It would want to be an improvement IMHO. I had an early racy mal he put out that was great fun. I set it up as a thruster. You could ride anything on it. Very fast. Felt great in larger waves.

Re: Midlengths

So does anyone know if the flow egg is actually different from Takas regular egg design?
They say it is. I've always found the egg a bit so so with the rolled bottom. Nice template but those pinched rails.
