I take a very dim view of Loofy’s toilet habits.
That's because of the blue light they use in there I suppose.

I thought he was going to look it in its blinking eye and then drive a hook up its clacker and go fishing.

Re: Midlengths

The Tolhurst actually has a really soft rail behind the fin with plenty of tail lift. Fairly edged rails through most of the board. You can really carve a solid turn on it. Felt very similar to the Tolhurst Fish to ride apart from the length. Re: heavy mals....I really like them and the momentum the...

Re: Midlengths

I probably want a more high performance one really because I've still got my Rabbidge which is a Cadillac of mals. Great board but really heavy. Maybe 8'6" and light. If I see an old Tolhurst without the red flames I would snap that up after riding one in Kauai. Not really up to shelling out for one...

Re: Midlengths

Still looking around about getting an epoxy mal if a good cheap one comes up but I had thought a Walden Mini Magik might do the trick as you can nose ride them. However they are ridiculously expensive. When I had a Taka DT2 I ended up using it most of the time with a 6" rear and large side bites. G...

Re: Midlengths

A search for Devon Howard, Jimmy Gamboa, Harrison Roach, etc should supply some material.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yet another crappy onshore surf. Looked like it might have been okay for quick footed Goofys on the dredgy inside bit. Waves were peaky but nearly all had this odd double up bit just behind the main peak. You would paddle over the main wave and find a half size peak that often belted the crap out of...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Had a look at Tama/Bronte. Just in time to see two guys have their legropes snapped and both have to swim into the rocks to try and retrieve their boards. One on the Bronte side wAs successful but might have lost a bit of bark in the process. One on the Tama side appeared to give up with the board g...

Re: post your modern day sickness

reckon you could make the drop Beany? pretty fast and hollow Well, I'm basing it on the only time I've surfed Lennox which was more like the upper shots. The drop on the take off was nice and propelled you into the Bowly section to get barrelled. If it's the inside its straighter and I guess just a...

I check it out cause my brother in law lives there. I would say there is a shark there permanently and it's been like that for at least a year of me checking Dorsal.
