Re: Where did you surf today ?

Oh I know.

I drove around today up and down, counted about 100 surfers in the whole area, it's a Sunday! what's up with that?

Re: Where did you surf today ?

wow Leeg's home town is kinda pumping today!

If those reefs were submerged and closer in, Scarborough to Trigg would be like a French beachie.

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

we started inching towards irrelevancy in the Thundercloud Fiji swell when pros dodged once in a lifetime cloudbreak. I do believe that was a turning point. well kinda, in hindsight. That was 2011, well before the Ziffs were in the picture. It was followed not long after by that incredible Tahiti e...

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

What if a plane crashes en route to a WSL CT with four CT pros on board?

What if you get out of bed and fall over and hurt your fcuken ankle?

There's statistically a greater chance of a pro dying at Pipe than via shark attack.

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

Has there ever been an attack at main break? Pretty sure there hasn't. Maybel legal issues too. They might get their arse sued of them if there was a fatality or serious injury to a surfer. Does anyone have a clue what the legal situation would be? What's the legal situation when a pro footballer b...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

btw I've seen Scarborough when there's been a major bombing close range groundswell in the outer waters and it was 6' and closing out directly onto a sandbar about 40m offshore, with the biggest backwash in Human History. Incredible fun! but not to surf.

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

This is the most embarrassing moment in pro surfing for many many years. Maybe ever.

Yes they are now officially Afraid Of The Ocean.

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

To see what I mean, look at the peak periods on the men's tour. First phase: Rabbit, Kanga, Shaun, MR. Second phase, TC, TC, Occy, Pottz, Elko, BL, Dooma. Phase three: Kelly, Sunny, Luke Egan, CJ/Damien, Jake the Snake, etc. Phase four: AI, Kelly, Taj, Parko, Mick, etc etc. The tour is a pack and pa...

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

Those offshore reefs, a few go alright although a shark shield might offer a bit more piece of mind these days. Nick - given the level of performance in round 1 and 2, reckon you could finish in at least the quarters? Or is Margs just so different from what the pro's would normally surf. I think Do...

Re: Easter Classic 2018

well it might not be the "truth", it might just be what he thinks. Or not. Opinion isn't truth, it's just opinion, and heaps of times it isn't even the person's actual opinion -- just something they fire up in the moment. I bet JW didn't mind winning Snapper for instance -- winners rarely have bad t...

Re: Easter Classic 2018

I dunno but if I were the WSL crew I'd be more worried about the level of competitive effort in the men's ranks. Feels to me like it's really dulled down right now. It may be a response to the uncertainty of the WSL's plans. like nobody even has a format for that pool CT event yet. It may be because...
