Re: Where did you surf today ?

The best Nippers are the ones when the kids basically gang up on the parents.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Some clubs are pretty cool with it, have a surf savvy leadership, get the kids paddling around on boards and they suddenly get the taste. Other clubs are how drailed describes, full...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

It's funny you know. I ran into a guy I went to school with who is now a district court judge. We never really got on. Even with all his success and me being quite complimentary about it he still had a chip in his shoulder about being a mediocre sportsman. People are weird. Ha ha people are competi...

Re: 6'9" custom Jim Banks, clean and never ridden

I think he got $1000 How's this, the guy who bought it is the guy who shaped the very first board I ever owned. Anyway I surfed the replacement in that lil swell pulse around Christmas and it is an absolutely gorgeous surfboard. Smooth, solid, curvy, clean. Can't wait to surf it in heavier barrellin...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Jesus fcuken christ the post Christmas Sydney shit spell is awesome. It tried to break itself this morning with a hesitant and feeble minded pulse from the sth, crossing up the 18" worth of easterly swell that's been trickling down from the Goldy for the past week. Result, waves of a gutlessness no ...

Seem to be a few regulars that have done the Harold Holt. Steve, Crabmeat, AJ, Karlos, Davros. Maybe more. It’s a slow death and may be terminal this time.
I would have too but I couldn't be fcuked.

I'm like one good surf trip away from forgetting about the whole thing

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I’m pretty sure someone is going to drown today. Does it stress you to watch clueless people wander into serious situations? Was watching a kid on Xmas day at Boomerang on a bodyboard with no flippers go out in a rip, beach was pretty empty and his parents were too busy talking to friends and havin...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Had a lot of fun at home out the peak today, this arvo that is. Super low tide, lowest of the year, and a little SE swell under a moderate NE seabreeze. These very traditional near Christmas conditions rang so many bells in my memory, and it must have done the same for a lot of the crew, because qui...

Re: Quiver thread

Ah I figure you need a box to hold fins in a board when it’s bigger but if you’re gonna have five of ‘em then you want them to be small boxes. It’s different in a bigger board ie 9’ plus when you just go with Futures. But when they’re clustered like this you don’t want the boxes changing the tail. I...

Re: Quiver thread

yeah it is, I haven't surfed either board yet, I don't wanna do some shitty snap on that 10 channel, that thing is for max effort hydroplane carving on big walls.
