with the current trend of shorter boards, going down to 5' 2" isn't that much of a stretch. not so bad if you're an old time skater like me, going short seems to make reasonable sense given that you don't actually ride the nose of a shortboard that much, it's the back 2/3 that counts the most ! sorta agree, just banging them out and landing 1 in a 100 is annoying to watch (i.e. every grommet at my local :D )... if you can do them and land them properly and ride out or continue the wave, give it a good score and by all means continue... swellnet is OK... but the variance between beaches can mean that where they check is nothing like what other beaches are showing. By the time they put the reports up, the light offshores are gone, the dawn patrol is the only way to go, plus it means I surf a lot more than i would if I just went off ...

mate went on a US/Canada trip to go snowboarding, got to the border and they wouldn't let him in as he had a DUI in Australia a few years back. He went back to the US, everyone else went to Canada :) They also had plenty of beer in the car, also a no-no, was confiscated on the spot. VERY strict there.

me too porridge, it is great wax, love the colour coded glitter too !! I get mine at the Surf Shop Erina, they have a store in Lisarow too.
