Re: Quikky Pro yo

Hi guys, I don't know why you are using a photo of a 15 year old girl from Manly in a forum about a mens comp in NY but I'm pretty sure it's not appropriate.

Re: Beach Erosion.

What will be really interesting is, what happens if the Noosa River decides to come back out to sea where it used to? Down the business end of Hastings St. As Womble said "powerful stuff that water".

I was made redundant from full time work 3 weeks ago. Now I surf every day and pick up freelance TV shifts on the weekend. I'm loving it to pieces but my wife is worried about the future so I guess I'd better start looking again...soon.

I was just looking at the Stubbies footage and the thing that stuck out for me was the differing styles between MP & MR. MR looked so much sharper and was surfing much tighter to the "critical "part of the wave. I actually thought he looked better. Is this the defining generational handover moment? ...

Hey Fish stick, I just went to the hardware store and bought some adjustable metal shelving. You screw the two rails into the wall and slot the brackets in. Hint, buy the long brackets. I then cut some hose & taped it on to the brackets so as to not damage the boards. I've been using this for 5 year...

"Real Surfers" used to be identified by their t shirts and stickers, now it's their paddling style. Thanks Nick, the Manly nippers are putting your tips to good use.

Thanks Nick, all makes perfect sense.
I know what you mean Ric, I had rear grip on one board and kept tripping on the block when taking off.

Nick,

I'm interested in why you went for a roving arch on your favourite 8'1" rather than a plug. I haven't seen them used for years. I surmise that this is so if they do go they don't rip the guts out of your tail. Is this common in guns?

Stuart Cadden had an awesome cutback. He surfed his early years at Longie and possibly learned a trick or two from Terry & Pat Clarke, who did the most insane cutbacks at the bombie. Another good thread would be on bottom turns. There was a classic ASL cover of one of the Fitzgeralds casually archin...

My daughters both have 6 ft Grommies (O & E) from Long Reef surf. I'm 85kg and can ride them pretty easily and get away with going in the flags. They come with the white stubby fins but, if you ask, you can get the black fins that are a decent shape.
