When we got that week earlier (maybe just before Easter?), or almost a week of offshore mornings, cool nights, small but fun swellls and relatively dry weather I thought the summer from hell was a thing of the past.
Then it turned into the autumn from hell.

Was just watching NBN news surf report and they had footage of Macauley’s.
The weatherwoman said “and there was just some small waves coming into Macauley’s and will continue to be good for beginners”

All the waves here were good on the higher tide.
I surfed on the lower tide.

First surf movie I saw at the cinema was a re-run of Big Wednesday at the Trak cinema in Toorak.
