Re: Tail shape ... what do you prefer?

I don't know if I'm making the right choice but my gut feel would be the swallow at a fast down the line point. Round tail when the wave energy is a bit stronger and toward the beach rather than down the line.
Just an image in my head.
I imagine both would work in anything though.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

The chest zips where the zip detaches at the end and there is a full pullover flap are much easier to get in and out of than the angled zippers. Not many seem to make them anymore.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I had one of those peruvian Boz wetties. A back zip. The bit of velcro that goes under and holds the zipper up had to go through a plastic pulley thing and fold back on itself. Pretty much impossible to do by yourself. :)

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Nice, protow?
I just surfed where you did, blessed with a clean rock off. Good long walls.
Got 4 set waves from the big pine past the hut.
Was only out for 35min.
Only 5 of us.
Surfed the 6'6 lynchy.

Re: Europe in September

Better off waiting till you get home for surf.
Sounds like more hassle than it's worth in this case.
Unless you really, really need to say, 'I surfed in France'.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Car locks are broken so only took one board (the mal) expecting it to be small. Was pretty small but breaking square.
Getting barrelled on a 9'8 with no leggy actually gets the adrenaline going, even if it's only 2.5ft.

Re: FCS 2 fins

Shapers have a fair few fins in the med/large in between category.
They have an fcs2 front plug as well.
I think your board and style of surfing has more to do with suitable fin than your actual weight though.
