Re: The Good Luck A Number One McCoy Thread

He was smart. Up until 5 maybe a few years longer only retro boards had volume. I remember seeing McCoys everywhere. Now shapers/brands get that foam is goodness and McCoys seem to have dropped off. But they had a big resurgence for sure 5-10 years ago. A shop where I live has started stocking them ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Been watching a bit of the Boardriders Comp this weekend. Highly enjoyable. All very good surfers, as expected. Then the CT surfers like Conner O’Leary turn up, so next level, as expected. The speed is noticeable. Far out the pros are amazing. Lots of Channel Island boards I notice. The Fever seems ...

How’s the water? Looked pretty horrid around NN and Warriewood. All lagoons are open.
It’s brown and pretty gross. I’d say a fair amount of storm water and horrible shit. Plenty of weed as well

Re: Midlengths

I reckon they look fun. This Mick Pierce my mate bought is 6'10 and surfs well small and medium but feels like it would get even beter with more size. I haven't tried it above 4ft though. This one was shaped in the mid 2000s, don't think many others would have been doing longer twins in that period...

Re: Midlengths

So it's a Hull, Thudster? One of these I believe. https://vouchsurf.com/mid-vish/ Everyone likes different shapes but these do nothing for me. That’s what makes horse racing. Channels the same for me. Too restrictive in east coast surf. But it would be very boring if we all rode the same things.

Re: Midlengths

Interesting. Paul Hutchinson? I've got a Burton 7'2" Quad I don't ride. 7' McTavish Carver Fish I might start riding again. 6'6" Tolhurst Quad Fish that I love. All fun but I'm thinking of riding longer for my shoulder. Have you looked at Brett Munros boards? Right next door to Vouch I think and a ...

Re: Midlengths

Definitely not this one. My regular board is a 37 litre Fred Rubble. The rails on this are finer. How big is the Fred thud? Pretty radical transition to a pulled in twin fin. 6’5. I ride lots of different boards. Yes for sure Duck, took at while to dial it a bit. I also had the guys refine this a bi...
