Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yeah, I know quite a few of them, you'd slip right in. Most of them live for it, and surf temples and secrets when the bommie's not on.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

There's a dedicated crew who surf it and its never crowded as the takeoff area is about 100m. The usual exit spot is just before/after the outside peak, its rare to go on into outside corner.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Anyone up for surfing the bombie? What I hate is its nearly a k out to sea and right at the SE extreme of Ulus so when you come off there's a good chance you're going to get 20+ plus waves on the head as you get swept in the river of water moving down around the point and on to padang https://www.fa...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Here's a bit more on great white behaviour from personal experience. I was the only one out at Avalon Point (Mandurah), a helicopter crew sighted a 3m white about 750m from me, within minutes it was 30m from me (heli observer statement), I just had enough time to get onto the shallow reef. The path ...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Over the decades I have read numerous times about the natural curiosity of great whites and their lack of fear - usually attributed to having very few natural predators - anything unusual, they just cruise on over and have a look, and maybe, a little taste.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Re: The Good Luck A Number One McCoy Thread

I've never seen any footage of someone, other than Cheyne, riding McCoys well. And I've never seen anyone riding them in the flesh at all. So yeah, feedback would be good.

Re: The Good Luck A Number One McCoy Thread

Just traded two McCoy Nuggets (7' Surftech and a 7'2 TSA FX) for a 7' TSA poly Nugget. Why? It fits better with the rest of my McCoys. So now its 6'8, 7', 7'4 and 8' Nuggets. I wanted a poly because they are better in the wind blown chop (thanks Steve) that is reasonably frequent at a more south fac...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

As I understand it, juvenile great whites prey on anything they can find. As adults they need high fat prey such as seals and whales, humans are way too boney with fcuk all fat. We have protected their favorite food sources for decades now and completely stopped their main preditor (humans), so, jus...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Humans are apex preditors and have been for a million years, suddenly completely protecting some species from humans is an artificial interference that may distort inter species relationships.

RS Prediction: cranked will go away for three weeks and come back fully Conspiritarded up from spending too much time online with Jim Banks. It will be one of Realsurf's finest resurrections. No, no!
