Re: Longboard disgust
When I'm flicking through my wave finder looking for the next surf adventure, I don't even look at the Sydey section. I've heard the crowds there are just plain wrong, " you have to see for yourself", Uh uh i lived in Perth and witnessed the City on the Surfcoast scene, choked up mess and the waves ...

Re: Longboard disgust
well Teepee, your two incidents begs the question, were you the one at fault for being in front of the wave paddling back out through the impact zone ? just curious particularly as the description of the purported offenders was that they were not experienced surfers so that rules out many options o...

With more people in the water means less waves to be had. Not rocket science.Roy_Stewart wrote:How are waves getting fewer?

Haha Peepee, such an intellect.Trev wrote:I've got a better idea Peepee.
Lets's ban all the short boarders. There's more of them so we'll make even MORE space in the water for REAL Surfers.

Longboard disgust
As the crowds get thicker and the waves fewer, shouldn't people be riding shorter boards as they can turn faster in crowded situations? I got run over yesterday by an idiot who couldn't control his log, I even yelled and signalled which way for him to go. It's time these people swallowed their pride...

Re: Sunny Coast
Right just wasn't sure whether it was just Noosa that holds the size or entire sunny coast, as the fore mentioned person said Noosa. Hopefully I'll get the chance to check out D.I.P at some stage funnily enough a car salesman was ranting and raving about the place, but should I really go believing a...

Re: Sunny Coast
christmas time you can get cyclone swells like a couple of years ago where noosa was literally almost the only place to surf in queensland. it can really hold a lot of size. sunny coast just gets long flat spells that can last a month at a time in spring/summer and misses out on a lot of winter sou...

Right......that helps.Beanpole wrote:There is a big swell magnet up there called "where Trev surfs". You just follow Trev around and you can be sure of getting the best surf.
The other swell magnet " where fong surfs" has recently move a bit south
And you may need to use a ferry to get to it.

Re: Sunny Coast
It's a big coast Teepee. Might help to know a couple of extra things. Like roughly whereabouts on the coast are you based? And what sort of a board do you ride? Yes that would probably help! I'm up Peregian Way, though will drive anywhere on the Coast for a wave. I ride a shortboard. I'm not a frea...

Re: Brazilian surfers
What happened Teepee, did you surf at DY recently ? No my recent encounter was at Broken Head, same old story had a clean 4ft session intruded on by a group of around 6-8 brazzers. A swirling rage is building inside and funnily enough Im fairly easy going bloke never had any surf rage other than a ...

Re: Brazilian surfers
Met my best mate in Argentina who is Brazilian. Absolute legend and doesn't surf. Though the absolute c@;k smokers I've encountered in the surf are a disgrace to surfing etiquette. It's happening to me too often and as much as I control myself to either paddle in OR be engulfed by drop ins, snaking,...
