Re: Autumn fourteen

Loggin comp scheduled for next Sunday at North Avalon, looks more like gun surf than log surf at this stage. I am definitely not 'match fit' for real waves. 'Twill be interesting to see how the forecast develops and what might eventuate.

Re: 'Transistional era' midlength Vee Bottoms

Yeah, I'd like to give one of these a try, I've seen quite a few popping around the place. Hey Wanderer, Adam from Imprint ( http://imprintsurfboards.tumblr.com/hull ) might be coming along to the next CCMB club day. He's been making hulls and I had a go of one last month. Needs a different approac...

Thinning filler resin

I want to lay down a very thin coat of filler resin in some patches on an old D-fin mal that I've been "un-restoring", (ie sanding off all the extra resin that some other pillock has put on there to make the board look pretty, which in the process made an already heavy log even heavier. I'm not inte...

Dunno if this helps, but I have a 9'4" Erik Sommer model, its a combination of the scorpion and the "in the pink" models, it has the scorpion tail with widths directly comparable to the in the pink model but with a more pulled in nose at the end. It noserides ridiculously well, though its not your s...

Who is doing parrellel rails out of those that you mentioned? all the longer equipment I have seen from that crew aren't? drawn out shapes indeed, but definitely not describable as "parrallel railed" Not that many consider 13+ feet to be useful for much... What are the KPI's for these boards you mak...

Re: The L,E&A video thread

This is a video I bought recently, it's been a while since I bought a new flick, kinda lucked out when I bought this one in a bunch of others being cleared out.
Only watched it once so far, but based on that I endorse it for all, not just loggers.

Re: what? what? WHAT??? i cant ear u

I've just purchased a pack of Doc's pro plugs, sick of the blu-tac and even more sick (Literally!) of the ear infections, will probably have to get the drill out down the track at some stage. Anyone here tried or is a user of Docs proplugs? verdict? I'm willing to give them a go, especially consider...
