Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Yeah, all the buttery, blind-stitching etc. etc. sounds great in all these wetties, but I want to see reviews after a couple of seasons. I am two seasons into the 4/3 and 3/2 versions of this suit: http://store.magicseaweed.com/ONeill-Mens-3mm-52-12-Fathom-2013-Wetsuit/Item/21158/ and they are as w...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
There is a store here in Tas that is 'global' price matching wetsuits.
Not sure what postage charges might be to Mainland Aus but brand new e-bombs are going for $385

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Good to see the topic of why we pay so much more for wetsuits here in Aus is still getting a run. Just a quick review on the new O'neill suits with 'technobutter' or whatever marketing name they gave the latest rubber. A few mates have had the Psycho 3 suits last winter. Warm, warm, warm was the con...

Re: Crease Fix?
Hey Phil, Funny, i just got hold of the same model Shred Sled King (Shred Sled Step Up) two or so weeks ago, glassed heavy as yours is. I hadn't really ridden a quad (only a couple of odd waves on borrowed boards) before and the couple of test surfs I have had on it have me itching to get it out at ...

Re: Crease Fix?
Hi Phil, Sorry mate, tried to reply to your PM re 'boards' via Realsurf but it won't let me use the feature (maybe I am just a gumbie and can't figure out how to use it :) In the meantime I figured i'd try adding to this topic and hope you get the info...apologies to anyone else who wonders what thi...

Re: Surfboard wax that's not sticky
Pretty much any 'organic' or 'enviro freindly' wax I have tried has ended in tears.

Try the newbies from Mr Zoggs - Dream Cream The Bronze stuff is $5 to $6 a bar but......its the business. http://www.surfstitch.com/product/sex-wax-dream-cream-top-coat-bronze-label-wax-clear I run a hard base coat of whatever wax and then a tiny amount of this on top. One block lasts for ages as yo...

Re: Cleaning an epoxy surfboard
Entertaining reading. My ten cents worth is use one of these: http://picklewaxremover.com/pickle_wax_remover.html I get rid of most of the wax using a regular wax comb, hit the board with the Pickle, then once more with a wax comb/scraper and boards are as clean as if they were brand new. I could be...

Hey Braithy, Yep - it's def a few degrees colder on the southern facing beaches. Not down to 10 yet though and I am hoping we don't get another winter of 8 degrees water in Storm Bay. We have not had one for a while, I guess it's only a matter of time. It's the snow melt that helps it along of cours...

I'm a bit late on this buuuuut.... Attached is a pic of Thursday morning, a stones throw away (near enough it may as well have been sea level) from the Hobart local surf beaches around 10am. Frosty as, well, Frosty the Snowman I guess. Not sure where you surfed on Tuesday Braithy- but doing it in a ...

Re: post your modern day sickness
You are right Natho. If i get the chance, I jump on others shapers boards - it's great to have options. I have some Milch (Brendan Milch) boards which are old favourites, that get a run from time to time. I have tried a few JS boards from time to time, but I have never really clicked with them. Have...

Natho: Ha, ha, ha – well I suspect it’d be better for my bank balance if I did work for ‘em! Money well spent so far though…. Braithy: I did have a Shred Sled. And I did like it, just not as much as the Hypto or Unit Shifter models. I think it says more about the way I surf than the board. I noticed...

Hi All,
I live in Tassie and recently got my hands on one of the Oneill 4/3m wetties with their new so- called 'Technobutter' neoprene.
It's a chest zip and it's so flexible it feels like wearing a 3/2m wettie. It's awesome. Warm as toast, if toast were a wetsuit.

Hi All, I'm a newbie and this thread caught my eye. Thought I'd throw a picture up of my current quiver favourites, all Haydenshapes epoxy boards. From Left: 6’0” x 18 ½ x 2 ¼ HS Blakcat model 5’11’ x 19 x 2 ¼ HS Blakcat model 5’8” x 19 ½ x 2 3/8 Hypto Krypto model 5’10” x 19 x 2 ¼ Unit Shifter Mode...
