What are people's thoughts on the Hypto ?
Been looking at them for a while here in the UK but not sure if they're a limitless over hyped.

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
Yeah - done that many times ! Going by Marc's comments on Swaylocks i'd put myself in the 'middlen' category but I'm sure I could manage the 5'6 :-D-: " The Astron Zot is a complete design useable from beginner to advanced. If your hot, you surf them small (5'6 - 6'0). If your middlen (like myself) ...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
Hi Jam, Haha - I am based in Cornwall and surf all round, but mainly North Cornwall. You are right in that the Zot goes well in hollow, sucky, low tide waves but in the fatter waves it does loose speed, but if there is good power to the wave it still goes fine. I tend to ride a mix of hollow waves t...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
Yeah Cuttie you are right about my nugget - well remembered. My sizing is a little arse about face as the Nugget is 6'6 and the Zot 6'4 and I'm looking at a 6'0 Zap. I could do with trade all in and starting again but there are not many McCoys left here in the UK. The only smaller Zot's I can get ar...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
Should I sell a Nugget to fund a Zap or will I regret it ?

Re: Single fin shortboards
Has anyone tried one of the Rusty Bali single fins yet ?
I have to admit I have been tempted by them for a while and they are now being sold off cheap in the UK.
Although, I saw one in the flesh and the build quality was seemed weak and even the board labels and design were not srayed correctly.

Re: What size Lazor Zap
Thanks you for all your input ! JaM71: I did exchange some comments with Cuttlefish as we both have Astron Zots and he has previosuly owned a Zap and he thinks that after riding both there may not be much for me to gain by going down the Zap route at all and possibly I should look at going shorter a...

What size Lazor Zap
I am very tempted to get a McCoy Lazor Zap after surfing the Surftech version and liking the design but not the Surftech technology. I'm based in the UK so my choice is limited to a 5'10 Phase I, 6'0 or 6'2 Phase II and was hoping for some guidance from those who have owned them before as to which s...

Re: Fish - Jim Banks MKiii
Had a few more surfs on it; one in overhead+ decent swell and also the left overs of the same swell at a lovely and fun 3ft (ish) and I am really starting to like the board. I definately feel that i could go shorter, but if I did i would go slightly wider and thicker aswell but I cant really fault t...

Re: Fish - Jim Banks MKiii
Just to clarify, I am in the UK. I surfed it for the first time today in 2/3 ft onshore junk and it went well considering the conditions - I was impatiant to try it out ! I didnt feel that I lost too much McCoy paddle power (if any) when paddling for waves but what was so enlightening was how easy i...

Re: Fish - Jim Banks MKiii
Yeah, I think all my McCoys (6'6 Nugget, 6'8 Astron Zot and 5'1- Lazor Zap {Surftech}) are on the big side now and the Jim Banks could be a little too long but I am only an intermediate and didnt want to go too small too quick, especially as I have never tried a fish before. By the way I love the Mc...

Re: Fish - Jim Banks MKiii
I'm 5'10 and 76kgs and intermediate ability.I'm coming dwon from a 6'6 McCoy Nugget which to be honest is a little too big for me.
I did wonder if the 6'3 fish still could be to big - oh well too late now !

Fish - Jim Banks MKiii
Hi guys,
I have recently purchased a Jim banks mkiii fish (6'3 * 20 1/2 * 2 7/8) and have yet to surf it but wondered what others experiences on this board were ? It was a decision between this and a 6'2 DVS quad fish and I am wondering now if I made the right decision
:?
Cheers,
N
